Development has now moved to DIY Council - applying the DIY idea to every council in the UK.

The Animal Welfare Section deals with enquiries regarding general animal welfare issues involved in the keeping, movement and sale of pet and commercially traded animals, including livestock.

We provide a Dog Warden Service, where complaints regarding stray dogs, cruelty and dog fouling are investigated.

We are also responsible for enforcing legislation relating to animals; visiting premises where animals are kept, licensing animal related establishments and we perform an educational role in terms of advice on animal welfare matters.

If you need help or advice on any of the above issues please contact:-
